Giving to a Field of Interest Fund
The Community Foundation has endowment funds specifically to support "fields of interest," such as the arts, civic engagement, education, environment, and health and human services. Each one is for donors who care about one of those fields of interest, but don't want to be involved year after year in how the money is distributed (a Donor Advised Endowment Fund) and don't have a particular charity that they want to designate as a beneficiary (a gift to an Agency Endowment).

Each year, any money available from the interest earnings on the Field of Interest Funds is made available to the grant committee to award in a competitive process, based on the best programs and projects applying. These funds are flexible to meet emerging needs and opportunities in each area.
